Inspired by true events, The Revenant captures one mans epic journey of survival and extraordinary power of human spirit. Hugh glass gets attacked by and left for dead by his own hunting team, guided by sheer will and the love of his family, glass must pursuit a viscous winter to live and find redemption.
I say that my Movie or TV list won't be in any particular order but i would have to say that The Revenant is definitely in my top 3 movies to see out of this list, since Leonardo DiCaprio is my all time favourite actor of all time (Cliche, i know!). There's a reason why Leo is so popular and it's because he's just a great actor, always picking movies that interest him and nothing too mainstream like most actors would want to aim for. Instead, Leo goes for the Biopic, period and historic movies that most people haven't herd of before, making people more interested in Leo's ability to show them something new.
The Revenant is one of my top 3 anticipated movies so far and it's because i haven't seen Leo do a Action, Adventure movie since i saw The Beach and we all know how well he played in that movie, making me think how much better he will be in The Revenant now he's much older and mature. Also Leo will be starring along side with Tom Hardy, another great actor on the rise to becoming one of the greats and can also make this Adventure film a one to remember for a long time if the story plays out as good as it sounds.
The true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of south Boston, who became a FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf.
Johnny Depp is another legendary actor, not just for his acting skills but also for his ability to change appearance and become a totally different person all together, with persona, costumes and different cosmetic facial looks. Johnny is the type of actor to play roles that he thinks he can make up himself like Pirates Of The Caribbean, Sweeney Todd & Edward Scissor Hands but not much for Biopic movie since his last one was in 2009 where he played the gangster John Dillinger in Public Enemies and what a movie that was! So we know Johnny is capable of doing such movies and will he deliver a better performance than ever?
Black Mass has a excellent cast line up such as Johnny Depp himself, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Joel Edgerton, Corey Stoll & many more. All these actors have a great titles under their belts and should be able to make this movie an entertaining one as these actors can act under most Genres given to them. The only one who could possibly sabotage the movie is Johnny as he will have the most pressure on him to deliver the portrayal of this infamous gangster but i also think he is the only actor he could take on this role at the very best.
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
After surviving the first set of trials set by the creators: The maze, Thomas, Newt, Minho and the other ravaged Gladers must survive a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles.
I'm not going to lie, I really enjoyed watching The Maze Runner, even though some may think it was really boring and unoriginal. I probably like The Maze Runner so much because of Dylan O'brien and his ability to make tense scenes even more tenser, with his facial expressions of anticipation. Dylan is still a young actor with very few well known movies under his belt but if your're a die hard Teen Wolf fan like me, then you will know how good of an actor he really is and i hope that Dylan gets the success that he really deserves from The Maze Runner saga.
As for the movie, it looks even more better than the first, maybe a little more thriller scenes in there as we see some zombie type looking people that chase after them all through the ruins of the broken down city that is covered in sand dunes. How tense must that be? Also i noticed how well the special effects were on the trailer and how amazing the back ground setting was, as we see broken down motorway bridges and skyscrapers that have collapsed. All this makes me think how hard the next set of obstacles must be but i'm sure that it will be a good movie to watch with your friends and family.
James Bond: Spectre
A cryptic message from Bonds past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.
I remember saying that Daniel Craig will never make a good James Bond because James Bond should never be blonde, because every single one had dark hair, how stupid was i to say that? Daniel will probably go down as one of the best James Bond's ever since he took the role on from a different angle, making James have more attitude, edgy and became a serious rogue agent like we have never seen before. All i hope for Daniel is that he doesn't fall off the face of the earth after his time is up with James Bond like the other have done. I mean the previous Jame Bond actors have done movies but not so remember-able and i hope this opens his career door wide open.
Spectre sounds very similar to Skyfall and i hope it's completely different because i really didn't like it as it was very bland and boring for a typical James Bond movie. Another thing that worries me is the new Bond girl Monica Bellucci, she will be the oldest ever Bond girl, hitting the age of 50 and i don't think that it will play very well with most of the die hard fans like myself, even though she is an attractive women, i still don't think the role is suitable for her but we will see.
Is it me or does it feel like Christoph Waltz should of been a James Bond villain years ago? The actor is perfect to play such a role and has the perfect ability to convince the viewers that he could possibly be the worst of James Bonds future.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
After being symbolised as the "Mockingjay," Katniss Everdeen and District 13 engage in an all-out revolution against the autocratic Capitol.
The Hunger Games saga is a huge success and it should be as it's one of the best adventure movies of our generation, making our minds run wild with imagination and not just watching an adventure movie but somewhat of a romance one also, as we see the love of Katniss toss between Peeta & Gale. It's also a huge hit because of the lead role played by Jenifer Lawrence, stealing the our hearts with her outstanding performance in the movie but Jenifer couldn't of done it on her own, no, she of course had the brilliant actor of Josh Hutcherson who is probably the most perfect actor to play this type of movie, since he's done a lot of Disney and Adventure movies before.
The success of the first two movies was immense and i was thinking that the 3rd one was going to be even better but i was clearly wrong because it didn't have much action as the first two and i'm guessing it would of been a tough act to follow after on how successful the first two were. I just hope that Part 2 will give Part 1 justice and make us fall back in-love with the movie and show us some goose bump scenes we seen from the previous two.
Derek and Hansel are modelling again when an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business.
Zoolander was probably one of the stupidest but most entertaining movies i have watched and that's why i have put Zoolander 2 in the mix as it's the only comedy i really want to see. Zoolander was so funny because it shows the fake inside world of cat walk models and how the general public portray them. showing us models who are dumb, egotistic and selfish in every way but all that isn't true...I don't think and that's the funniest part of the movie, it shows us what where all thinking.
I think they did a good job on waiting tor release the sequel 15 years late after the first one was made, making it more anticipated than ever. Also having more mainstream comedy actors in the sequel is bound to make it more funny, such as Krristen Wigg and Will Farrell once again! We all know how funny these two are but the two main actors and long life friends, Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson really do make this movie pure entertainment for the viewers to enjoy. I reall do hope they are exactly the same and can portray the same persona as they did 15 years ago.
During a manned mission to the red planet Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his own crew members but Mark is alive and finds himself stranded on the hostile planet.
Being the biggest Sci-Fi space movie nerd there is, it was a definite to add this to my list, especially after seeing Interstellar. With a short role in Interstellar, Matt Damon gave us a short brief gimps on how he could possibly be and look like for his upcoming movie, The Martian. Minus the bad guy role he portrayed in Interstellar, i do think we will see some sort of desperation like he did in the movie and adapt it in The Martian, since he is yet again stuck on a isolate planet all on his own once again. Plus it's either it's going to be an amazing movie or a massive fail, you never get an average space movie, it's either one of the two.
All i keep seeing around on the internet by movie reviewers and critics is their already comparing it to the movie "127 Hours" but on mars and if that's the case then i won't be watching it. I know it will be about survival but there's so many different way you can go around it and if it's the exact same concept of 127 Hours, then i really do think we have a problem on our hands.
Also i'm intrigued by how very random some of the actors are they decided to pick for this movie, such as Kristen Wigg, Sean Bean, Michael Pena and Jeff Daniels. Maybe they picked these actors so it's not to main stream like Interstellar but have the same popularity and freshness as the movie. All i know that the book is suppose to be amazing and why can't the movie be the same? It all comes down to the directors work!
Divergent: Allegiant Part 1
Beatrice prior and Tobias Eaton venture into the world outside of the fence and are taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the Bureau of Genetic welfare.
OK, so i hated how unoriginal the first two movies were and how boring they were also but i am very interested on what the third movie has installed for us and what's behind the fence that they were surrounded by. That is pretty much my only reason why i want to watch this movie, since the actors were a poor choice for the roles but i can see why some teens might like the movie since the actors were probably chosen for the younger public and not for the likes of me.
I thought it tried to be like The Hunger Games to much and they wanted to follow the exact same footsteps as the other movie, picking young actors to get more attention but that for me was the biggest mistake of the movie, where i thought they should of got unknown actors, so no one could judge them from previous bad movies they were all once in.
Like i said before i'm interested in how it all plays out and what happens next, since i have watched the first two, it's a bit stupid if i don't carry on the entire saga. Like The Hunger Games, the first two movies were immense and it went down hill dramatically but Divergent could be different as the first movie was boring, the second one was OK and the third one might be the best out of them all and the fourth one might just be immense! That's what i'm hoping for since it's hard to watch a movie fail after the success of the novels.
Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice
With Batman and superman are at war with one-another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in a greater danger than it's ever known before.
Why the hell not would i not put this in my list? Have you not seen how epic the trailer is? Iv'e watched it a dozen of times and it still sends goose bumps down my spine! Also the trailer is just tip of the iceberg because we know that Batman and Superman are at each others throats but the real question is, who's going to be the main villain that makes them realise that the two of them must work together to stop the evil spreading throughout each of their own cities.
I'm a bit skeptical on how Ben Affleck will play Batman as we already know how bad he was in "Daredevil" and i hope he doesn't cock things up for the future of Gotham. My opinion is i think that Ben will play an Average Batman with special effects doing most of the action scenes for him but he will play an even better Bruce Wayne, hopefully showing us more of Bruce Wayne and how angry he really is towards Superman throughout the movie.
With Christopher Nolan being a god like Producer after his very successful and iconic batman trilogy, i am happy he is still working on this movie which i hope makes it more realistic and Gothic as the other Batman movies he previously made himself. I think that Zack Snyder has a tough act to follow and so does Ben Affleck, since Christian Bale is probably the most iconic Batman to date.
A secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named A.R.G.U.S creates a task force comprised for super villains, the "Suicide Squad." The are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences.
It's crazy not putting this on my list as well, since i did just put Batman v Superman on and also that Suicide Squad will intertwine with Batman because he makes an appearance, showing him ride the car which The Joker is driving. This makes me think if they are the main villains that show up to surprise Batman & Superman or is it too close together for such short notice to make the two movies intertwine with each other? It might be the case but it might just surprise us more than ever if it's true.
The main actors i'm more excited to see is Jared Leto as The Joker and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn because it's going to be the very first time we have see Harley meet The Joker and we all know how much the two of them love each other in the comic books. We also know that Heath Ledger is and always going to be the best ever Joker there is, winning both an Oscar and golden globe for his outstanding performance but i really do think that Jared Leto will try his best to follow in his footsteps, doing a great and different approach of The Joker.
The trailer itself didn't give to much away and only told us about the Suicide Squad, that they are used for a mission. This makes me more interested in how the story will turn out and how other characters come into play like Batman and The Joker. Will the Squad try get away from the company that are making them work together or will the try and get along, causing havoc on their way?
